FORMAT USB USING COMMAND PROMPT


This can be also be done for:
1. if USB is showing 2 mb instead of 4 or 8 or 16 gb
2. if unable to format normally


Step 1: Run  command prompt as administrator



Step 2: Type diskpart





Step 3: Then type list disk,(which will show all disks available in your pc or laptop)





 Step 4: Identify your USB disk according to its size

           Here,it is disk 1 so I will type select disk 1

NOTE:CHECK THE DISK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SELECT


Step 5: type clean



 Step 6: type: create partition primary




Step 7: type: select partition 1



 Step 8: type: active






Step 9: type: format fs*ntfs quick



 Step 10: type, assign



 After this you can type exit and your USB is ready to us again
